Novena Church

The newly renovated Novena Church finally reopens to the public.

“This comes after a $54 million revamp that sees the 67-year-old church taking on a gleaming new look. Clad in granite outside and limestone inside, the church's sanctuary now features soaring arches, intricate columns, a dome and 18 large stained-glass windows.”

Jin Fu Gong Temple

On the mornings of weekends, this Chinese temple provides free refreshments (homemade soya bean milk) and some light snacks for visitors as a form of blessing.

“In 1968 the residents of Zheng Hua Village found a statue of Da Bo Gong (Tua Pek Kong) and built a shrine to worship the deity, which they named it Jin Fu Gong (Kim Hock Keng). During the time at Zheng Hua Village Kim Hock Keng was well-known for the water well that relieved cough and brought good luck with its miracle water.Due to land acquisition by government, Jin Fu Gong (Kim Hock Keng) built a new temple in Jurong West in 1996. In 2001, Jin Fu Gong Gong De Tang was built as a subsidiary of Jin Fu Gong Temple.”
